Do I apply to the Business school?

First students are admitted to the university through the admissions office as a Pre-Business major.  Upon satisfactorily completing the Pre-Business requirements students apply into one of the Business majors.   Transfer students may have already completed the Pre-Business requirements and they will be notified of this during their initial meeting with an advisor.   If that is the case, they will submit the Request for Admission to Upper Level courses right away.

What courses should I take in order to transfer?

We have our curriculum guides, called “bingo sheets” posted on our websites.   Try to match courses to those listed on the bingo sheet.  We can accept credits from any accredited school for our 100 -200 level courses.  However, 300-400 level Business and Economics courses can only transfer in if they are from another Business  school accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

How do I find out what books I need for my classes?

While logged into my.IPFW on the enrollment tab, click on Look Up Classes to Add.  Then look up each particular section of the classes you are enrolled in.   Once you find your section, click on the course title and a screen will pop up showing what book you need and how much the IPFW bookstore is charging for the book.
